“Here’s to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; here’s to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories that we hold.”

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.”
~ Edith Lovejoy Pierce

“Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true”
~ Alfred, Lord Tennyson

“Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.”

Maligayang Pasko!

Good news from heaven the angels bring,
Glad tidings to the earth they sing:
To us this day a child is given,
To crown us with the joy of heaven.

VDay 08.

We had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen at Alabang Town Center yesterday. I brought a Nick Jr. magazine to keep the little boy occupied while we wait for our order. I am trying to stock up on these kinds of magazines to keep him entertained when we eat out. Coloring books and crayons offered at restaurants don’t work for him anymore. Surprisingly, our order didn’t take long despite the many customers. We had Tomato Basil Spaghettini and Pizza Margherita. I have been craving for a Margherita ever since we had it on Aria in Boracay. I love that classic Italian pizza. The Tomato Basil Spaghettini was good, too. The little boy enjoyed it as well. He just had to say “Wow!” when the pasta was delivered to our table. Just like me, he is fond of tomato-based pasta. He ate pizza, too. He ate all by himself the entire time. And as of this writing, I am craving for the pasta and pizza again. Let’s see if we can have it again this weekend. No flowers for me this time. The husband already told me that he isn’t getting me flowers for Vday a week ago since they are unreasonably pricey during Valentine’s. Instead he just asked me what I want. I originally wanted a D300 hehe, but of course it is so way out of the budget. So I just asked for a new pair of slippers and a bag. He got me a pair of Havaianas (which the husband calls Dabianas, oh yeah so fit for me hehe). We bought it at the All Flip-flops Outlet Store in Paseo De Sta. Rosa. As for the bag, I am still deciding which Louis Vuitton to buy. JOKE!!!! I am choosing between the 2 bags I saw at Benetton in Gift Gate. One is black and the other is purple. The husband likes the purple, but I think I like the black more as it has more pockets. And the husband is already expecting that by the time I make my decision, the bag will be all gone. We’ll see. Anyway, I will share some pics later.

Happy.

Christmas.

Christmas morning, the little boy resumed his opening of gifts. He got a few more books, some toys and pajama sets. Of all, he loves the counting book. Recently, he is into his sticker book. We would peel a letter or number sticker and the little boy will look for that letter or number in the book and attach the sticker.
