Shabby Pickle Designs is celebrating their first year. And they are having a sale – 40% off on all their products. I am not scrapping, though I really intend to do so, so I don’t think it’s wise that I should spend on materials. But the store has really nice kits and I am so tempted to shop. Good thing, I intentionally emptied my Paypal earlier this week. I have much more essential things that I need to spend money on, like items for the house, a sleep number bed, cabinets and more.

Renovation.
We are doing some renovation in our house. Nothing major though as we are hoping the major house project will happen in five years or so. Anyway, this is a pre-owned house so the roof is a bit old. We are having some leaks in the kitchen so we thought of having the roof replaced. We had the electrical connection checked as well. We are doing some repainting, too. Deciding on the paint color for the kitchen had me browsing the internet for ideas and inspiration. However, our kitchen is still as bare as ever. Storage and cabinets are not included in the renovation plan. Maybe, I’ll just buy extra cabinets in the next few months.
Anyway, I came across some really nice windows over at Central Scotland Joinery and it got me thinking if I should have our windows replaced, too. Backseat.
Blogging has taken a backseat lately. Actually it has already been a while. Besides the fact that blogging opportunities aren’t as much as before, I think I am bit exhausted. I want to focus on things that are more important and more fun for me. I am even thinking of finding work or taking some courses. Seriously. I came across an online MS in Information Security and it made me consider getting an online course. I know some people taking similar courses and I think it’s much better than going to an actual school as you have control of your time. Anyway, The Lewis University Online Master of Science in Information Security is a very dynamic online program where students can learn about managerial and technological tools for security data and information of businesses. The course looks promising and very timely. Add to that, Lewis University has been named as one of the best colleges of the region.

I have been tweeting, if I remember it correctly, for more than a year now. A friend mentioned it and I decided to join. I initially thought that I wouldn’t really enjoy it since I am not a chatty person by nature. Plus I don’t think many will be interested with what I’m doing every single minute of the day. Surprisingly though, I had fun and made new friends through Twitter. I’m still not as chatty but whenever I feel like talking with friends, I head on to Twitter. And it now serves like our own little chat room.

It has been 6 days since my last post. It has been that long that I even forgotten my blog password. I had to check my notes to recall it.
I am still a bit tired from the MBAP’s outing last Saturday. It was fun, especially for DS who couldn’t get enough of the pool. Even though I have tons of photos from that day, I was still not able to take much photos of the kids and the mommies. Maybe next time.
