Summer Is Here.

#3

In our house, that is. The little boy went for a swim in his inflatable pool this afternoon. He was more relaxed at the water this time as compared when he was younger. He just hang out in the pool with the daddy and played a little basketball. We are planning on enrolling him again for a swim class at the Bert Lozada Swim School this summer.

Organize.

I will be organizing my scrap materials, for the nth time. I don’t think I’ll be using ACDSee this time. I will just probably arrange them by type in folders, whatever. I just can’t seem to figure out ACDSee. Or I might just be slow. I was almost done with my organization a long time ago then I think I moved the files to a new harddrive and the preview seemed to be working fine. But when I tried locating the item, the ACDSee couldn’t find it. Basta, magulo. Good luck Alpha. Oh yes, why not scrap muna. Because when I scrap I want my materials to be laid out in front of me, yes all of them (they’re not much, anyway) so I can choose what to use. I’m the type who wants to check out everything first before picking my materials. Or maybe I can scrap and organize at the same time. I’ll try.

Rule #1
Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an ” A,” you’d replace the link under that alphabet and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

Rule #2
You now have to “tag” at least five people and encourage them to participate so that this thing spreads like a virus. Remember, though, that not everyone’s into these kinds of things, so don’t be upset if they don’t participate. Just simply replace your tag. Remember to tag blogs only and no pornographic ones as we do want to keep the integrity as a blogging community. TIP: Tag your frequent EntreCard droppers via its messaging system.

hamming it up for the camera

The little boy hamming it up for the camera. Cellphone cam, that is. He loves making faces while seeing his face on the screen. See him smile, show off his nose, beautiful eyes, peek-a-boo, mr. pogi smile and show off his tummy.

Of course, the mommy wouldn’t be left behind. I love my cellphone cam as I think I don’t look as chubby as I actually am in these shots. :D

Celebrate.

celebrate the temporary
don’t wait until tomorrow
live today

celebrate the simple things
enjoy the butterfly
embrace the snow
run with the ocean
delight in trees
or a single flower
go barefoot in the wet grass

don’t wait
until all the problems
are solved
or all the bills
are paid
you will wait forever
eternity will come and go
and you will
still be waiting

live in the now
with all the problems
and its agonies
with its joy
and its pain
your despair
your anger
it means you’re alive

look closer
breathe deeper
stand taller
stop grieving the past

there is joy and beauty
today
it is temporary
here now and gone
so celebrate it
while you can

celebrate the temporary.

Invitation Template.

Litzie’s little boy Dustin is turning one this March. So right now she’s hosting a small contest to create a template for his son’s invitation. So here’s my take on her challenge. However, I didn’t follow some of her requirements as I’m not used to following rules. Hahaha! Anyway, here it is.

babyd.jpg

This is a two-fold (or three?) invitation. Basta, it has three pages. This should be printed in one page then folded to divide into three sections. First section (or the first page) contains the first line from the invitation wordings, plus the first 6 pictures inserted in between. Second section contains the subsequent wordings, again with 6 pictures in between the words. The final section is the “Look out!” part, with Dustin’s main photo plus the party details. I suggest using a handwritten font (a kid’s handwriting, in particular), then the pictures can be framed, and some embellishments can be added also. Parang a handwritten journal with pictures and stuff. A kraft paper is nice for the background.
